North American Visitors to the Islands of Tahiti Accounted 29.5 Percent of Worldwide Arrivals In August 2013

Tahiti Tourisme announced that North Americans accounted for 29.5 percent of visitors to Tahiti in August 2013.
Year to date, North American arrivals to the Islands of Tahiti are up 2.8 percent over 2012.
Total North America arrivals for the month of August 2013 decreased 1.7 percent as compared to August 2012.
Land arrivals excluding VFR (family & friends visiting the islands) for August 2013 was 3,360 passengers total, a 1.7 percent decrease over August 2012. Total North American “paid room nights” for August 2013 were 32,883, a 1.7 decrease percent year-over-year increase. Total cruise arrivals were 793 passengers, same month in the year previous.
Easier to travel to than most imagine, Tahiti’s Faa’a International Airport is only an eight-hour flight from Los Angeles with daily nonstop flights.
