Shot in February 2011, on the island of Bora Bora, this project was made possible with the special assistance of the Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa, the accommodating property for the shoot. The picturesque lagoons of Bora Bora and the Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa's beautiful grounds resulted in a stunning 44-page fashion book, which was distributed over Memorial Day weekend via direct mail nationwide, hitting more than 1.5 million households, as well as throughout all Macy's stores.
This promotional partnership included additional marketing incentives featuring:
• Window displays in Macy's flagship stores across the U.S, including Macy's Herald Square, the world's most famous store
• Online exposure via macys.com, which receives over 410 million visitors annually.
• A captivating behind the scenes footage of the photoshoot to more than 1 million fans on Macy's facebook page, which you can view by clicking here.
• A commercial spot on the Macy's Herald Square Jumbotron, the giant electronic billboard located at the corner of 7th Avenue and 34th Street, one of the busiest intersection in New York City, and viewed by over 7 million people each week.
Additional support included a marketing partnership agreement between Macy's, Tahiti Tourisme North America, and SPM Hotels, Resorts and Spa and Air Tahiti Nui for a trip giveaway titled "Ultimate Girl's Girlfriend's Weekend" sweepstakes offering one lucky Macy's customer, and three of her best friends, the chance to win an all-paid trip for four to the islands of Tahiti.
